Season Ticket Holder Spotlight: Tom Kimball

March 19, 2016
As soon as the 2013 Ohio Machine season was over, fans were chomping at the bit to reserve their spots for the 2014 season, including season ticket holder Tom Kimball who was the very first person to renew his tickets for the 2014 season.

Kimball, who has been a season ticket holder since the Machine’s inaugural season, did one thing differently this past season and purchased one of the coveted parking passes in the parking lot directly next to the stadium.

“This was my first year of buying a parking pass and with the pass I was able to enjoy the convenience of tailgating right next to the stadium with other fans and enjoy the Machine game day atmosphere right from the moment I arrived,” said Kimball.

Like many of the Machine season ticket holders, Kimball was introduced to the sport of lacrosse through his kids who both began playing at a young age in Pennsylvania and now play at Orange High School after moving to Columbus. But even though his children got him involved in the sport, Kimball is a fan all his own these days.

“I can’t get enough of the fast-paced action with the subbing on the fly and limited stop in play,” said Kimball.  “And who doesn't enjoy the aggressive ball handling and hitting.”

With his love of the sport growing, purchasing Machine season tickets starting day one was a no brainer for him and his family. “Moving to Columbus in 2011, I was happy to see that the city would be getting a team. It is great to live in a town with diverse sporting events. We can all drive to Cleveland or Cincinnati to get our pro baseball and football, but here in Columbus you can have a great family night out and enjoy something different with the Ohio Machine.”

Kimball, who usually goes to the Machine games with family and friends, can’t wait for the 2014 season to begin with the hopes of seeing a stronger roster built upon the core group of players already in the mix. “The 2014 season is going to be a winning season for the Machine!”

And not only does Kimball enjoy going to the Machine games with his family and friends but also recommends more people join him next season as a season ticket holder “especially friends with younger children as it is a great night out. Can’t ask for more – giveaways, fireworks and a fun sport to watch!”

Season tickets for the Machine’s 2014 season are on sale and range from General Admission at $92 to a Field Level Box at $2,400 and include seven regular season home games plus a 2014 MLL playoff game. Information on 2014 season tickets can be found at
