Ohio Machine Host Fourth Annual Lacrosse Convention

December 6, 2017
COLUMBUS, Ohio– The Ohio Machine hosted the fourth annual Ohio Machine Lacrosse Convention on Saturday, December 2, at the Marriott Columbus University Area.

The one day event is the premier lacrosse educational event in the Midwest that brings coaches, referees and athletes from the youth, high school, club and collegiate levels together to facilitate the growth of the game in the region.

Speakers this year included Ohio Machine players Dominique Alexander, Kyle Harrison, Scotty Rodgers, Ohio Machine defensive coordinator Nat St. Laurent, and Ohio Machine head coach Bear Davis. Speakers from programs around the country including The Ohio State University, University of Michigan, the University of Cincinnati, and Seton Hall University made appearances, in addition to several other prominent lacrosse organizations throughout the Midwest. The convention also incorporated referee clinics for both youth and advanced.

“The turnout this year was fantastic,” Davis said. “Having people come in from such a wide range of age and skill levels says a lot. It comes to show that the game of lacrosse continues to grow rapidly in our region, and we are proud to be leading the charge with our annual convention.”

The team plans to continue the tradition by hosting the fifth annual Ohio Machine Lacrosse Convention in late 2018. Save The Date
