January 10, 2018
Columbus OH- The Ohio Machine have announced today that Nat St. Laurent, Darryl Delia and Eric Genova will be a part of the Ohio Machine coaching staff for the 2018 season, under Head Coach and General Manager Bear Davis.

“After winning the championship in 2017, it was important for us to retain the core of our staff,” Davis said. “The consistency of our program is key in our quest to bring the Steinfeld Trophy back to the state of Ohio.”

Nat St. Laurent will return for his fourth season with the Machine and third as Defensive Coordinator. St. Laurent looks to continue the success of the defensive unit, which ranked first in the league in goals against (163 GA), as well as penalty killing (81.25 PCT). St. Laurent will be in his fourth season as the head coach of the Ohio Northern Polar Bears, continuing to grow the program as it enters its third year as a Division III program.

Darryl Delia is back with the Ohio Machine for his third season, serving as Offensive Coordinator. Under Delia, the Machine became the top powerplay unit in the league last season (39.02 PCT), and earned a top-three spot in goals for (195 G). Delia is continuing into his sixth year with the Albertus Magnus College men’s lacrosse program.

Eric Genova joins the Ohio Machine after many successful seasons coaching at the NCAA DI level, and having won a world championship with Team USA’s staff in 2010 at the FIL World Championships in Manchester, England. At Cornell University, Genova coached for the Big Red program that captured back-to-back Ivy League Championships. In 2010, Genova joined the Loyola Academy Chicago varsity staff, and has been part of seven state finalist appearances and three state championship crowns.

The Ohio Machine will open the 2018 season on Sunday, April 29 at home against the New York Lizards.
