March 17, 2019
DAY ONE RECAP

COLUMBUS, Ohio– The Ohio Machine hosted the second day of the team's annual High School Showcase event on Sunday. Here's how the teams did:

Game 1: Bishop Hartley vs. Dublin Jerome (girls)
In our first game of day two, Dublin Jerome was victorious over Bishop Hartley 19-2. Attackers Isabella Francati and Liv Sivak each scored four goals in the performance. For the Hawks, midfielders Annie Reis scored a pair of goals.

Game 2: Dublin Jerome vs. Mason
For the second straight season, the matchup between the Dublin Jerome Celtics and Mason Comets came down to the wire. While the Comets beat the Celtics 5-4 with the winning goal scored with less than 10 seconds left last season, this one wouldn't be settled until overtime. Carson Block scored the game winner for the Comets, and Mason took the contest 8-7. Xander Wells added added three goals for the Comets. For the Celtics, attackmen Carter Barco and Andrew Bird each added a pair of goals.

Game 3: Columbus DeSales vs. Chagrin Falls
In the first ever matchup between the Columbus DeSales Stallions and the Chagrin Falls Tigers, it was the Tigers who came out on top. A last second goal put chagrin Falls ahead 6-5 with just 10 seconds left in regulation. Goalie Otto Bergmann played a standout performance, while attackmen Cam Owen and Alex Morris each scored a pair.

Game 4: New Albany vs. Hilliard Davidson
In the final match up of the day, the New Albany Eagles defeated the Hilliard Davidson Wildcats 12-7. Midfielder Brode White scored four goals for the Eagles, and defenseman Patrick Gurd and midfielder Brayden Wong each added a pair of goals. New Albany now hold a 4-3 advantage over Hilliard Davidson all time.
