2014 Home Opener

The Ohio Machine is set for its first home game of the 2014 season and OSU Sports Medicine Night on Saturday, May 17. Face-off is set for 8 p.m.

Make sure to arrive early because at 5 p.m. Parking Lot A will open for tailgating. New to Machine games in 2014 is the variety of food trucks on site for the pre-game tailgate including, Kona Ice, Pulp Juice and Smoothie, and Pickled Swine to help kick start each and every home game! And the excitement continues after the game. Once the Machine and Lizards are done battling it out on the field, stay for the POST GAME FIREWORKS SHOW!

On top of watching the fastest game on two feet, fans in attendance will have access to the Fan Zone which will include inflatable bouncy houses and much more. The festivities will include a limited-edition seat cushions giveaway by the Wexner Medical Center, as well as a 2014 Machine team poster, for the first 3,000 fans through the gates.

Ohio’s newest sponsor, Skyline Chili, and the Machine will be hosting the One & One Makes Three promotion at the home opener, and every home game for the rest of the season. Every time the Machine scores 11 goals or more at a home game, each fan in attendance will receive a free 3-Way from Skyline Chili. The popular restaurant will also have a free Cheese Coney offer on the Machine’s game-day rosters, which will be distributed to all fans upon entry.

Outside of the off-field festivities, fans will be treated to an exciting display of lacrosse played at the game’s highest level. The Machine roster boasts such world-class talents as midfielders Peter Baum, Kyle Harrison and Tom Schreiber, attackmen Marcus Holman, Steele Stanwick and Logan Schuss and defensemen Greg Bice and Chad Wiedmaier. Harrison, Holman and Stanwick are all on the United States roster for the upcoming 2014 FIL World Championships in Denver.

Face-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. as the Machine hosts the New York Lizards for its 2014 home opener.
