2013 Sponsor Spotlight: Amato's Woodfired Pizza

The Ohio Machine welcomes back numerous 2012 sponsors for the Machine’s sophomore season, including Amato’s Woodfired Pizza  for the 2013 inaugural season. As part of the partnership, Amato’s will host the official “Ohio Machine Pre-Game Party on the Patio” prior to every 2013 season home game. Brad Hampu, managing partner of Amato’s, said he thought the partnership with the Machine last season exceeded his expectations.

“The whole idea was that it was going to be big for Delaware to have the Machine play right here,” said Hampu. “We were excited to get in there on the ground floor, and our Party on the Patio was a huge success. It drew people from all over and was a cool hangout spot so people would come out early to the games.”

“Amato’s was one of the first businesses to reach out to the Machine last year about an inaugural season partnership,” said Machine President and GM John Algie. “With their close proximity to Selby Stadium, not to mention their amazing food, it was a perfect fit for us and has been a very successful relationship thus far. We’re excited to work with them again and really appreciate all their continuous support.”

Amato’s returns as an Official Sponsor of the Machine and will offer special game-day discounts to fans who present Machine home game tickets during the “Party on the Patio.” “Party on the Patio” will also include live music, giveaways and special guest appearances prior to face-off. Hampu said the party is family oriented and allows Machine friends, family and fans to get together before the games to drink and grab a bite to eat all while promoting the Machine.

“One of our goals by partnering with the Machine was to help us expand the customer base into the north side of the Columbus and Columbus in general,” said Hampu. “We think we are able to do that with the Party on the Patio.”

The partnership between Amato’s and the Machine has immensely benefitted both sides. Hampu said his company loved promoting the Machine during its first season and helped Delaware, Ohio, become acquainted with its new lacrosse team. He could not thank the Machine enough for helping Amato’s expand into what it is today and gather a wider fan base.

“Anything that brings that many people to downtown Delaware is going to be good for us,” said Hampu. “We wanted to get the ground-floor start to eventually have that long term partnership with the Machine. We’re just really looking forward to this upcoming season.”
