2013 MLL Season:

Schmidt tallied one assist in the season home opener against the Denver Outlaws (5/4) followed by tallying two groundballs against the Chesapeake Bayhawks (5/11). Schmidt tallied four groundballs against the New York Lizards (5/18), seven groundballs against the Hamilton Nationals (5/23) and three groundballs against the Rochester Rattlers (6/2). Schmidt tallied four groundballs against the Charlotte Hounds (6/8) and one groundball against the Denver Outlaws (6/22). Schmidt played in the ninth game of the season against the Boston Cannons (6/29) followed by tallying two groundballs against the Chesapeake Bayhawks (6/7). Schmidt tallied one groundball against the Hamilton Nationals (7/20) and one groundball against the Charlotte Hounds (7/27). Schmidt tallied five groundballs against the Boston Cannons (8/3). Schmidt tallied three groundballs against the New York Lizards (8/10).

2012 MLL Season:

Max Schmidt played in 12 games during the 2012 season and made his MLL debut in the inaugural game against the Chesapeake Bayhawks (5/5). Against the Long Island Lizards (6/16), Schmidt scooped up a career high four groundballs followed by an additional two groundballs against the Charlotte Hounds (6/23) to give him 10 on the season. Two weeks later against the Denver Outlaws (7/4), Schmidt tallied his second assist of the season. In the team's game at Hamilton (7/13), Schmidt registered a new career high in groundballs with five.  Schmidt continued to add to his groundball total when he picked up four against the Rattlers (7/28). Schmidt scored the first two-point goal of his career when he scored one at the end of regulation against the Boston Cannons (8/4).

Played at the University of Maryland from 2008 to 2011. Helped Maryland to the NCAA title game in 2011. Named a honorable mention All-American as a senior. Named a preseason Third Team All-American as a junior. Part of the All-ACC team as a sophomore. Named a preseason All-American in 2009.

 

Personal:

Born in Upper Arlington, Ohio, to Andy and Katie Schmidt. Has an older brother, Brandon. Won a gold medal with the U.S. U-19 team at the 2008 IFL World Championships. Majored in communications.
