2013 MLL Season:
Connolly scored his first goal of the season against the Denver Outlaws (5/4) in the season home opener. Connolly scored two goals and tallied two groundballs against the Chesapeake Bayhawks (5/11) followed by one groundball against the New York Lizards (5/18). Connolly tallied one assist and two groundballs against the Rochester Rattlers (6/2). Connolly scored one goal against the Boston Cannons (8/3).

Jim Connolly played in 13 games in 2012 and scored his first career hat-trick in his Ohio Machine debut against the Chesapeake Bayhawks (5/5). In the team's home opener against the Rochester Rattlers (5/19), Connolly tallied his second four-point game of the season with three goals and one assist. Against the Long Island Lizards (6/1), Connolly added a goal and an assist to bring his season point total to 11. Connolly added another goal in the team's game against the Denver Outlaws (6/9), continuing his point streak in every game. Connolly scored two goals and one assist in his sixth game of the season against the Lizards (6/16). Connolly had three points and scored his fourth power-play goal of the year against the Charlotte Hounds (6/23). Connolly continued his success in the 2012 MLL All-Star Game (6/30), where he scored two goals for Team Young Guns. Connolly set a career high for goals in a game with five at Denver (7/4). Connolly scored his 20th goal against the Hamilton Nationals (7/13) and picked up his fifth assist in the second game against Hamilton (7/14). Connolly scored one goal against Chesapeake (7/21) to increase his poinst streak to 11 games. In the team's first game against the Boston Cannons (8/4), Connolly recorded his fourth hat-trick of the season and a week later against the Cannons (8/11), Connolly scored three more goals to finish the season with 27 goals. Connolly ended the season with a 13-game point streak, recording a point in every game he played in this season and second on the team with points. He tied for second on the team with points with 32 and finished first on the team in goals with 27.
Jim Connolly had a career best season during the Machine’s inaugural season. Connolly finished out with 27 goals and five assists for a total of 32 points plus six groundballs.Connolly played for Boston Cannons and Long Island Lizards during his first season in the MLL in 2011, including scoring his first MLL goal with Boston. Prior to joining MLL, Jim Connolly played at University of Massachusetts from 2006 to 2009, where he was named 2009 ECAC Offensive Player of the Year, 2006 & 2009 ALL-ECAC First Team, 2009 North-South All-Star game participant, and NEILA Scholar Athlete Team. Connolly also led the ECAC in goals per game and ranked ninth in the NCAA in goals per game with 2.6 during his senior year. Tallying over 100 points in his collegiate tenure, Connolly became the only player in UMass history to score in every game he played in.
