Connor English joined the Ohio Machine when he was taken 65th overall in the 2014 Supplemental Draft. Prior to entering the MLL draft, English played for two years at both the University of Virginia and Cornell University. For the first two years of his collegiate career at Virginia, English played 28 games, scored 17 points on 15 goals and two assists, and tallied 18 groundballs. English then transferred to Cornell where he played 31 games. In his tenure at Cornell, English scored 34 goals and had 19 assists giving him 53 total points as well as recording 26 groundballs.
