2013 MLL Season:
Holman debuted in his first MLL game against the Hamilton Nationals (5/23) and scored his first goal and the team’s first 2-point goal of the season, in addition to two assists. Holman tallied two groundballs against the Rochester Rattlers (6/2) and tallied one goal and one assist against the Charlotte Hounds (6/8). Holman scored one goal and tallied two assists against the Rochester Rattlers (6/15) followed by scoring one goal and talling one groundball against the Boston Cannons (6/29) and one assist and one groundball against the Chesapeake Bayhawks (6/7). Holman scored one goal, one two-point goal and tallied one assist and two groundballs against the Hamilton Nationals (7/20). Holman scored one goal and tallies one groundball against the Charlotte Hounds (7/27). Holman scored one goal, tallies three assists and two groundballs against the Boston Cannons (8/3). Holman tallied one assist against the New York Lizards (8/10).
2013 MLL Stats:
Marcus Holman is entered his first MLL season after playing at the University of North Carolina for the 2010-2013 seasons. Holman finished his college career with 84 goals and 49 assists for 133 total points. During his freshman season, Holman was named ACC Freshman of the Year and won the Jay Gallagher Award as UNC’s Most Outstanding Freshman. Holman also won the Turnbull Trophy as UNC’s most valuable player in 2011 and an honorable mention All-America honors from USILA. Holman’s junior season was one of the best in all of UNC lacrosse history as he led the team with 39 goals, 35 assists for a total 74 points. During his junior year, Holman was also a second-team All-America selection, named to the All-ACC Team and received merited honors on the All-ACC Tournament team. For Holman’s final season, he was the only captain of the 2013 Tar Heels, led his team to win the ACC Championship and to the 2013 NCAA Quarterfinals and is one of the top five finalists for the Tewaaraton Trophy.
