2013 MLL Season:
Cummings scored his two first goals of the season and tallied two groundballs against the Chesapeake Bayhawks (5/11) followed by the game against the New York Lizards (5/18) where he tallied two assists and one groundball. Cummings had a hat-trick against the Hamilton Nationals (5/23) scoring three goals. Cummings tallied one assist against the Rochester Rattlers (6/2) followed by scoring two goals and tallying one assist and one groundball against the Charlotte Hounds (6/8). Cummings scored five goals against the Rochester Rattlers (6/15), which he was named Player of the Game and Week #7 Warrior Offensive Player of the Game. Cummings scored one goal and tallied one groundball against the Denver Outlaws (6/22) followed by tallying one groundball against the Boston Cannons (6/29). Cummings scored four goals against the Chesapeake Bayhawks (7/6) and scored one goal and tallied two groundball against the Hamilton Nationals (7/20). Cummings scored one goal and tallies one assist against the Charlotte Hounds (7/27). Cummings tallied four groundballs against the Boston Cannons (8/3). Cummings scored one goal and tallied one groundball against the New York Lizards (8/10).

2012 MLL Season:
After being traded to the Machine from the Bayhawks, Joe Cummings played in four games for the Machine and made his MLL debut against the Hamilton Nationals (7/14). In his MLL debut, Cummings made his first career MLL goal and first career MLL assist. A week later (7/21), against the Chesapeake Bayhawks, Cummings recorded his first career hat-trick. In his third career game, against the Boston Cannons (8/4), Cummings scored two goals on six shots. In the team's final game of the season Cummings scored his second career hat-trick and had two power-play goals, finishing second on the team in points for Rookies.
After finishing his college career with Maryland, Joe Cummings joined the Machine for four games where he scored nine goals and recorded two assists for 11 points total. Cummings closed out his college tenure before joining MLL by helping lead the Maryland Terrapins to back to back NCAA Championship games as an attackman. In his senior season, Cummings had 31 goals and 19 assists, becoming the first Terrapin in five years to record 50 points in a season. Cummings also earned numerous accolades during his senior year, being named to the All-Tournament Team, All-ACC team and a Honorable All-American. As a junior, Cummings had 32 points and was named an USILA Third Team All-American. Cummings finished his career with 86 goals and 30 assists for 116 points, becoming the 38th player in Maryland history to tally 100 points. Cummings also finished his career with 11 hat-tricks and 86 goals.
