Northstar Lacrosse Partners with Ohio Machine for Girls Clinic
The Ohio Machine Girls’ Clinic with Northstar Lacrosse will be held on Thursday, December 27, starting at 12 p.m. with three separate sessions based on grade level. ANY skill level is welcomed to come learn from some of the best girls’ lacrosse coaches in Ohio! Equipment required to participate is stick, mouth piece and eye protection. US Lacrosse membership required. The clinic is only $25 and includes one (1) ticket to the "Northstar Lacrosse Night" at a 2013 Ohio Machine home game. Max Elite Hosts Holiday Clinic for Boys
Max Elite is offering a two day clinic for boys on December 27 and 28 at D1 (8080 N. High St.). The clinic for boys 6th-8th grade will run both days from 1:00-2:30 p.m. and the clinic for 9th-12th grade will follow from 2:30-4:00 p.m. both days. The focus will be on stick skills, shooting, dodging, individual offense and defense and game situations. The clinic will be led by Ohio Machine assistant coach Bill Wolford and only costs $70. Ohio Wesleyan University Named to Inside Lacrosse DIII Preseason Top 20
Ohio Wesleyan University ranked #16 in Inside Lacrosse’s annual DIII Preseason Top 20. OWU finished its 2012 season 11-5 and begins its 2013 season on Saturday, February 16 against Aurora University at Selby Stadium.
Ohio State Players Named to 2013 Preseason All-Americans in Division I
Inside Lacrosse released its 2013 Preseason All-Americans in Division I during its Face-Off Yearbook, naming two The Ohio State University players. Senior attackman Logan Schuss was named to the second team and junior goalie Greg Dutton received an honorable mention.
More Ohio Players Commit to College
St. Xavier attackman Ben McCormack has verbally committed to High Point. McCormack was an All-Star at OSU Top 200, Baltimore Summer Kickoff and FLG in 3D. He was also named to the Brine Ohio 75 team.
Capital University Hires First Lacrosse Coach
Bill Olin, a former Division I student-athlete with six years of lacrosse coaching experience, has been named the first head men's lacrosse coach at Capital University. Olin begins his career at the helm of the Crusaders' men's lacrosse program, which makes its debut in the 2013-14 academic year, following a stint as a coach/director of recruiting at Iron Horse Academy, a lacrosse club based in Texas that prepares high school age players for competition at the college level.
