Some of the Ohio Machine players share their Thanksgiving traditions and where they like to spend it!
Anthony Biscardi (#89 M): I split Thanksgiving. In the morning I go to Grandma Biscardi's house and we have our Italian Thanksgiving. I have a six-course meal done before 4 p.m. and then from my Grandma's house I go to my uncle's house on my mom’s side and have another big dinner. My favorite dish has to be Aunt Linda's banana cream pie. She makes three of them every year and they're gone in a matter of minutes. If you're not quick you don't get a slice.
Matt Casey (#26 M): I spend my Thanksgiving at my Cousin Michelle's house in Syracuse, NY. I love every Thanksgiving food in the book but mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes are the best!
Brett Garber (#3 M): We generally spend Thanksgiving in CT with our relatives. This year, we are heading down to Florida to spend with my brother and his family. No matter where Thanksgiving is, I love all the food. If I have to pick something, it would either be homemade stuffing, or homemade Apple Pie.
Eric O’Brien (#10 FO): Thanksgiving is always in Ohio, the past couple years I have split time between my family and the lady’s family. My favorite dish is stuffing mixed with turkey and gravy.
Max Schmidt (#8 D): My wife and I spend Thanksgiving Day at Grandpa Schmidt's house. Most of my family is local so every holiday is like a family reunion. Us Schmidts sure do like to eat and as you can imagine there is always a plethora of food to choose from. Favorite Thanksgiving dish is cheesy potatoes with mashed potatoes, gravy and turkey all mixed together. Throw a little cranberry sauce on top and you have yourself a five-course meal on one plate. Obviously, several plates are a necessity for Thanksgiving.
Joe Smith (#18 D): I spend Thanksgiving at my parents’ house with my family. And my favorite dish is stuffing!
