Major League Lacrosse, the premier professional outdoor lacrosse league, announced the Ohio Machine’s goalkeeper Stefan Schroder as Major League Lacrosse’s Defensive Player of the Week after he posted a career high of 17 saves in the Machine’s first ever home opener.
“It was a full team effort offensively and defensively to get the win. I’m just lucky and proud to be a part of this team and this group of guys,” said Schroder.
Schroder, who was honored as the Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in his career, has appeared in three games this season and has a 13.78 goals against average while stopping 50.0 per cent of the shots he has faced.
