The Ohio Machine’s exciting Fourth of July celebration – which includes everything from the Machine’s face-off with the Chesapeake Bayhawks, to the Central Ohio Symphony and the City of Delaware fireworks show, is just two days away!
On top of the exciting action on the field, fans in attendance will be able to enjoy the Ohio Machine Fan Zone all day long! From 2 p.m. when gates open for the Machine game, until the end of the Delaware fireworks show, fans can take advantage of a variety of games and activities courtesy of Games2U, Dave & Buster’s and State Farm. Don’t forget about amazing specials like $1 hot dogs and the chance to win an Xbox One courtesy of Socius!
In addition to their large inflatable bounce house and slides, Games2U will have laser tag and also give fans a chance to try out the hamster balls used during in-game competitions at Selby Stadium. All Games2U activities will be free of charge to fans with a ticket to the Machine game.
Dave & Buster’s will have a selection of games as well as prizes for the lucky winners. State Farm is sponsoring a character artist and will be doing giveaways in the stadium.
The games and activities will be a great way to pass the time leading up to the fireworks show, but they aren’t the only options for Machine fans. Any fan with a game ticket will receive a wristband for reentry and can head over to Ohio Wesleyan’s campus – just across the street from Selby Stadium – to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Central Ohio Symphony. The symphony’s 29th Annual July 4th Concert will begin at 7:30 p.m.
After the concert, it’ll be time to head back into Selby for the fireworks show, which will be bigger, better and more exciting than ever before! The City of Delaware and the Machine are teaming up to present the largest fireworks show in Delaware’s history, making it the first time the show will be visible from within Selby, and also making the stadium the No. 1 spot to watch!
The Machine’s matchup with Chesapeake is set for 4 p.m., with stadium gates opening at 2 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at TheOhioMachine.com/Tickets, or in person at Selby Stadium on the day of the game beginning at 10:30 a.m. Visit TheOhioMachine.com/July4 for more information.
Parking lots B and C will be closed on the day of the game, but parking will be available at the large lot on South Sandusky Street between Harrison and Wilmer and throughout the city.
