The Ohio Machine has unveiled its promotional lineup for its historic 2012 inaugural season home opener with OSU Sports Medicine Night Saturday, May 19. The Machine’s first ever home opener begins and ends with a bang as the team takes on the Rochester Rattlers at Selby Stadium in Delaware, Ohio.
To start the evening off with a bang, singer-songwriter sensation and Cleveland-native Kate Voegele will take the field to sing the National Anthem. Voegele recently launched her third album Gravity Happens and concluded a multi-city U.S. and European tour, as well as launched the Oakley Kate Voegele Signature Series Beckon sunglasses. Following Voegele’s stellar performance, the Machine will be honoring some of its biggest supporters from the Greater Columbus Sports Commission and Experience Columbus, Ohio Wesleyan University and Wexner Medical Center at The Ohio State University.
Fans will also be leaving the game with a commemorative rally towel provided by OSU Sports Medicine that will only be available at our historic home opener. Parking lots open at 3:00 p.m. with gates open at 6:00 p.m.
After the Machine closes out its first-ever home game, fans will be treated to a fireworks extravaganza show presented by Bud Light directly after the game. In recognition of Armed Forces Day and to honor our military, the patriotic fireworks presented by Bud Light will begin directly at the end of the game and continue into the historic night.
